It has been quite a journey for Katarina Tovar, who recently graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Services. Katarina also has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Coastal Bend College-Kingsville. Although ETBU is in Marshall Texas, Katarina was able to stay in touch regularly with her mentor of three and a half years, Briseida Mendoza. According to Katarina, the best part of being a Dream Achiever is the support and encouragement she received from her mentor. Katarina has a huge heart and is setting her career goals on working with and making a difference in children’s lives. She is presently exploring job opportunities with Child Protective Services and plans to move back to Kingsville Texas soon.
