The Dream Come True Foundation-South Texas is a 501(C)(3) non-profit that provides assistance to individuals and families who are “on the edge of success: but need some help to achieve their dreams of an education and financial security.  We provide in-kind assistance, mentoring, and financial support to individuals and families who are committed to moving forward in their lives.

The program is open to individuals, families, and students that are citizens or legal residents of the United States of America and living or attending school in Kleberg, Jim Wells, Brooks or Kenedy counties.  The Dream Come True Foundation does not discriminate based on age, gender, religion, sexual orientation or ethnicity.  There is no age limit or family size limit.  The applicant must be willing to partner with a mentor and have achieved some milestones toward their desired dream.  We are not a scholarship program, although we may provide some tuition support.  Recipients are expected to be free from substance abuse/illegal drugs.

While we encourage applications at any time, our two specific deadline dates are May 15 and October 1 of each year.  Applicants are encouraged to apply early, so we have ample time to conduct a brief phone interview and collect other materials such as an unofficial transcript and references. 

Once you have submitted your application, a Program Services representative will contact you by phone in order to further process and complete your application.  If selected to continue, you will be contacted for an interview with members of our Selection Committee.  All applicants who interview with the Selection Committee will be notified, usually within four weeks, of their acceptance or denial.
